The landscape with tulip flowers as seen in the Netherlands was my subject for my next watercolor painting. Many people appreciated this one at the exhibition .The red tulips in the front and then mixed colors and the white tulips made good composition. The grasses in reddish brown color enhanced the landscaping. I was very pleased with the short wall .It was real fun painting this one. Do enjoy!
I am professionally a plant tissue culturist. My first love was botany and while learning about plants I was introduced to drawing. Now plants and flowers are part of my life.Forgetting the academics I try to enjoy beauty of nature through paintings. When I travel nature and places appear before me like a kaleidoscope. Its too vast for my eyes to behold and I want to capture them in my mind .There are so many colours and shapes and I try to present a few here through my paintings .

Flowers from my garden
Last week my blogging was on a real low pace and so was my paintings. After the festival holidays of onam ,going to hometown ,cooking and feasting, meeting friends and relatives,I had too much to do at home and workplace. There was rain rain everywhere but the garden in our house was full of flowers. Such a delight to sit and watch. Now its time to start painting on my favorite topic flowers in watercolors. So I am setting myself a challenge to paint 2 paintings next week.Today I took photographs of the flowers and coincidentally there was a rose very similar to the reference photo of PADT challenge complete with dewdrops. Here are the photos
You are welcome to use these photos for reference.Do please let me know if you paint any of this.
